Cleaning Shop Towels
It is difficult to clean your shop towels as the stains are stubborn and greasy. To wash them out, you need to soak the towels in a bucket that is filled 3/4th with water and two handfuls of powdered Tri Sodium Phosphate. TSP breaks down some of the hardest grease and oil stains and your rags come out clean.
You can also soak them in warm water before washing them in the washing machine with moderately hot water. Do not put these shop towels in the dryer. It is best to dry these towels with air and sun.
Before applying bleach, understand that bleaching softens towels and causes them to wear out faster. Always wash new towels before use. Excess dye, chemicals, etc., can still reside in factory produce towels. You may also use fabric softener on bath towels.

As expected. Quick delivery on these fairly small, rough shop rags. I ran several through the washer to reduce any lint, and will use those for staining projects. The rest will be used as rags in the shop. Gotta love having rags when you need them.

I'm repurposing these shop towels for dirty work in the kitchen, so I washed all 100 towels before using them. There was a tremendous amount of lint that came off during the drying (that's a good thing) but the towels still tend to bleed red onto almost any surface I use them on (a bad thing) and there is still lint left behind (also bad). For my purpose they'll do, but I wouldn't reorder them. For shop towels these are fine, however, I would probably dispose of them when they were dirty. I don't know that washing them is worth the trouble.  Utopia Deals got them to me quickly and they were exactly what I was expecting. So the four stars are really for them. 3 stars for the towels themselves.
