: This is a beautiful example of Gorham's design and craftsmanship.  Physically, it's similar to many others although a round underplate is somewhat non-standard. Generally,

, like so many others, uses some variation of a belt design around the belly with or without duplication on the underplate.  However
, this simple, very bold graphic is extremely unique.
The graphic is duplicated on both sides of the boat only.  The underplate is totally plain which draws your attention directly to the boat. Both the boat and underplate have a wide
GOLD
band around their perimeters.  Furthermore, each color of the graphic itself is separated from the adjacent color by a
GOLD
pinstripe.  The backstamp is also in
GOLD
and reads: "GORHAM ~ Est 1831 ~ Fine [Lyon logo] China ~ U.S.A"
Condition
:
Pristine,
MINT
in every manner.  There are
NO
chips, cracks, crazing, scratches, stains, repairs, water marks, discoloration or any other cosmetic issues.  The colors remain bright and vibrant.  The gold trim is 100% intact w/o any voids.
Even the rough exposed vitreous china or ceramic bottom edge that normally shows some scuffing and/or discoloration remains clean.

I've been unable to identify the pattern or determine the status so if anyone can help, I'd sure appreciate it!
The gold trim prevents this item from being used in a microwave.
