Old Vintage Hoosier Style Vaseline Glass Canister Green Glass Lid Storage Jar. We found this at a recent Barn sale in Ossipee New Hampshire amoungst some old Ball canning jars. This auction is for one canister, but we found seven more available, and decided to hold off on listing them all until we tried one in hopes of identifying the maker  first. Three of the four sides are ribbed only, with the fourth having that upward to the right window amongst the ribs for putting a label there. I checked and checked, I could not find another example like this has a glass lid like these do. There are examples very similar but with metal tops, so I'm at a loss on these. This one, like the rest, is in excellent condition with no chips or cracks. Measures about 8 inches high to the top of the lid, unofficially (no idea where my tape measure is, but that 8" will be within a 1/2" either way).
