    Description

    This refined TATUNG TAIWAN porcelain tea set is preowned, but looks like it was never used. No utensil marks, no staining. The fact that the teapot has a discolored flea bite on the side of its spout and one cup has a similar flea bite suggests it may be vintage. All pieces are free of chips and cracks.
    The covered tea pot is 4 1/2" tall without its lid. The inner edge of the spout to the raised rim is 2 1/4". The raised rim around the opening is 3 7/8" in diameter. Gold-colored bands accent both the pot and lid (see pictures).  In addition to the flea bite, there are smudges of color (barely visible) on the lid finial and the top of the handle, possibly gold coloring that escaped.
    Each cup is 2" high and 3" across. Gold-colored bands accent each rim, 3/4" down from the rim, and the base ring. There are some smudges, very few, to the red symbols, nothing grossly serious. One cup has extra grit on the base ring, easy to remove. Review all photos.
