Vintage Ceramic Lemon Meringue Covered Pie Keeper Plate Server Dish w/ Lid Shabby Chic
Lovely vintage Lemon Meringue Ceramic Covered Pie Keeper Plate with
Meringue Lid and Lemon Top Handle.
Very realistic looking 2 piece pie dish with a deep meringue lid and a whole lemon handle and a bottom plate that looks like a crimped pie crust.
Almost looks good enough to eat!
A beautiful way to keep and serve any pie.
Entire dish (including cover) measures approx.
5.5” H x 10-3/4” W. Actual pie opening has an 8.5” diameter.
This mid century pottery piece is unmarked but I believe it is made in California USA by Whittier Ware.
It is in used condition, and unfortunately there is a crack in the bottom plate that has been repaired.  It is stable so still may be usable for serving as well as make a very lovely display piece for a baker's rack or counter top.
There also appears to be a very small chip on the inside bottom edge/corner of one lemon leaf.
Can't tell if this is a just a flaw or a chip, but I note.
